More information about the project can be found below.
The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down in 6x2 rib stitch using a Saddle Shoulder construction. First, two saddles are worked, and their stitches will later form the beginning of the sleeves. Next, the back is worked, followed by each front worked separately. As you work, stitches are gradually picked up along the saddles and stitches are increased to shape the neckline. After joining the fronts, the work is joined to work in the round. The sleeves are then separated, and the body is worked to the desired length. Finally, the sleeves and the double neckband are worked.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: intermediate
GAUGE:
24 sts x 36 rows/rnds = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 in]
in 6x2 rib stitch *k6, p2*, worked in rows and rounds using 4 mm [US 6] needles
The swatches should be washed and blocked flat, without stretching.
XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL)
Given sizes are designed to fit the bust circumference of:
75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) cm [29.5–31.5 (31.5–33.5) 33.5–35.4 (35.4–37.4) 37.4–39.4 (39.4–43.3) in]
How to choose a size?
Choose a size that is approx. 18–23 cm [7.1–9.1 in] (or more) larger than your bust circumference. The length of the sweater and sleeves can be adjusted as desired while knitting the sweater. Due to the nature of rib stitch, the most accurate measurements will be obtained after blocking the work.
