Knitting kit for the AVELIA vest from the third issue of GABO magazine. Designed by Zuzanna Pabin @onherneedles
The vest in the photos was made using: KROOPA WOOL yarn in the colors Ice Blue (0724), which is the main color, and Ink (0936), which is the contrast color.
More information about the project can be found below.
The vest is worked seamlessly from the top down in stockinette stitch. First, stitches are cast on for the back, and the armholes are then shaped. Next, the left and right front panels are worked, shaped using German Short Rows, and the neckline is formed. After joining the left and right front panels, the contrasting seam running down the center front of the vest is established, the front armholes are shaped, and the work is then joined in the round. A contrasting seam is also worked under each armhole. Once the required length has been reached, the front and back are separated, and the number of stitches is adjusted to work the 2x1 rib stitch. The back ribbing is longer than the front ribbing. The final row and bind-off are worked in the contrasting color. Finally, the turtleneck is worked, and the armholes are finished with 2x1 rib stitch.
