A knitting kit for the APLA sweater designed by Joanna Wiernicka @joan.knits from the first issue of GABO magazine.

This kit includes a digital pattern* in PDF format and dedicated yarns in selected colors and quantities corresponding to the selected size.

Pictured sample is knitted in: FINE PERUVIAN WOOL in the color Light Lila (8597) and BABY SILK YAK in the color Lavender (9741).

APLA sweater is designed in the classic modified dropped shoulder construction, worked top-down. We start with the back piece, which we work in rows. Then we work the left and right front pieces, simultaneously shaping the neckline. After completing both pieces, we join them and work the body in the round. The whole piece is enhanced by varying the stitch patterns on individual pieces. After completing the body, we pick up stitches around the neckline and knit a collar in one of the two available options. We move on to the left and right sleeves, for which the instructions differ, as the sleeves are not symmetrical.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: intermediate.
