Products made from this yarn require gentle hand washing at a maximum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius using mild detergents intended for wool.
After washing, don't twist or wring the fabric too much. Gently squeeze out excess water. Wrapping the fabric in a thick, absorbent towel can also help.
We recommend drying your garments flat, spreading the fabric to the desired shape, and then leaving them to dry naturally. Do not accelerate the process by using tumble dryers or radiators. Do not dry your garments in direct sunlight.
BABY SILK YAK is a yarn with a rich and unique composition. All fibers used in BABY SILK YAK are very delicate and fine, making it suitable for those with sensitive skin. It has a slightly shorter nap than typical mohair-silk yarns, but it also adds a touch of fluffiness and lightness to the knit.
The delicately melange colors of BABY SILK YAK resulting from the use of natural, slightly gray fibers emphasize its unique character.
BABY SILK YAK is a yarn that can be knit with single, double, or even triple strands. Depending on the number of strands used, the knit can create a delicate, sheer, and airy "cloud" or a slightly thicker knit. It also works perfectly with classic yarns, adding fluffiness and lightness.
We especially recommend combining it with our MY TIME MERINO, FINE PERUVIAN WOOL, KROOPA WOOL or BABY ALPACA.

Silk, which comprises 35% of BABY SILK YAK's composition, serves as a two-strand core. It provides strength, softness, and a subtle sheen to the yarn. Mulberry silk fibers are longer than other silk fibers, further enhancing quality.
Country of origin: China
Merino fibers constitute 13% of BABY SILK YAK's composition. Their use is designed to provide even greater softness and suppleness. We used "fine" merino fibers, which have a diameter of 20.5-21.5 microns.
Country of origin: Uruguay and Argentina
Yak fibers constitute 10% of BABY SILK YAK's composition. The fibers used are the natural, light gray color of the combed yak coat, giving all BABY SILK YAK colors a unique, delicately melange color. Yak fibers are very delicate, with a diameter of 18.5-19.5 microns. Since they are not sheared, but carefully combed, this method extracts the most delicate part of the fleece.
Country of origin: Mongolia
