A knitting kit for the HIRA cardigan from the second issue of GABO magazine. Project designed by Ewelina Czempik @ewelina.czempik

THE SELECTED KIT INCLUDES GABO MAGAZINE II IN PRINTED VERSION (by purchasing this kit, you no longer need to add the magazine to your cart :) as well as dedicated yarns in selected colors and quantities corresponding to the chosen size.
Remember that GABO Magazine II contains as many as 10 knitting patterns!

Pictured sample is knitted in: MY TIME MERINO, color Misty Peonia (9520) and MOHSILKO color Misty Peonia (4520).

More information about the project can be found below.

The cardigan is knit seamlessly, using two strands of yarn held together, from top to bottom, using a stockinette stitch. First, stitches are cast on for one shoulder, then the other. Both shoulders are formed using German Short Rows. After joining the shoulders, the back piece is knitted. Stitches for the front pieces are picked up along the shoulder line. Once the desired length is reached, the front and back pieces are joined under the armholes and knitted further together, while simultaneously increasing to shape the neckline. A pleat is made around the neckline using the Double Knitting method. Next, the bottom pleat is knitted, which begins and ends with a tie belt. Finally, the sleeves are knitted.
