The cardigan is worked in the French stitch in rows, from top to bottom. Begin by working the back, then pick up stitches for the front pieces. In the next step, the back and front pieces are joined. The sleeves are worked from the top down and in the round. Pick up stitches are then added along the front edges of the body and the neckline to create the pleat. Finally, buttons are sewn on.
